Botox is used to smooth and soften wrinkles in areas like the forehead, frown lines, crow’s feet (around the eyes) and smile lines as well as to elevate eyebrows and lateral corners of the mouth. Botox normally needs to be done every 3 to 4 months and can also be used to prevent wrinkles. Soft tissue fillers are used to add volume to certain areas of the face to create a natural and youthful look. Fillers last between one and two years, depending on the type of filler selected.
Aesthetic facial treatments
Cell turnover slows down as you age, which could lead to a dull complexion. We use peels (Neostrata, RegimA and Nimue) or microdermabrasion to stimulate cell turn over. This will result in a younger looking complexion. Another benefit of regular peels is that it will improve the absorption of products and serums. To peel during the winter months would be better for those who are more prone to pigmentation.
Another topical ageing reality, coupled with lifestyle and environmental factors, is the fact that collagen production (a key structural component of a smooth healthy looking skin) decreases due to the natural process of ageing. Statistics show that by the age of 40, most people have up to 20% collagen loss, and at 50 your face shows a loss of collagen of up to 30%. The result is wrinkles and sagging skin.
With our EWC signature facials, we combat ageing issues like slow cell turnover and decreased collagen production by combining a peel or microdermabrasion with a collagen stimulating machine treatment in one therapeutic session. For example; a RegimA peel with Safyre RF skin tightening treatment.
